I'm Back!

Hi everyone!

Most of you may not have known, but the reason I have not been posting recently is that I have been doing my exams. But I'm back now, so hello again! :D

What to talk about, what to talk about.... Well, it was my birthday on the 30th of November! That was really exciting, especially since I turned 18! Everyone always asks "So, what did you get for your birthday?" And so on my Facebook, I uploaded an album of various presents I got. Some people may have taken it as boasting, but it was just to save time telling everyone. I won't say everything, but some of the presents I got were: A Lonely Planet Travel Guide to England, The Complete Fourth Series of Doctor Who on DVD (New Who, not Classic Who), Four Doctor Who books, and two bars of chocolate.

Also, on the 2nd of December, I had my birthday party! A lot of people when they turn 18 want to go out clubbing or drinking on their 18th, but what did I do? Several of my friends and I went to our national museum called Te Papa, and had a look around, and then we went for lunch. I got some more presents there, from them, though one that stood out for me was the present my tutor gave me, The Taylor Swift 'Wonderstruck' perfume pack! (It contained the perfume, the eau de toilette, and scented body lotion)

But as we were eating, laughing, and chatting, I was looking around the table at my friends, and it got me thinking. I really am so lucky to have the friends that I have, they're all lovely, genuine people. I'd just like to thank all of my friends for sticking with me throughout the years, without them, I'd probably be nowhere :P

I promise I will post some of my creative writing soon!

Books, TV, and A Cold Windy Night

 Hi everyone!

Time to update you all (However many blog readers I have) on recent happenings.

Right. Well, in my last post, I told you I was reading 'House Rules' by Jodi Picoult. I have since finished it, but I don't want to spoil anything for anyone, so all I can say is: Read the book!

Also... I surprised myself this Saturday, by watching something I never thought I'd like. I love watching Doctor Who, and this show is on before it, and I usually get the end, so I thought why not watch it from the beginning? It was a great decision, as I loved it! That show was.... Midsomer Murders. I know, a bit weird, but I like it! Do you think it would sound a bit morbid, asking for a Midsomer Murders DVD for my birthday? Yes? No?

Last point for today, Would you guys mind if I was to share pieces of my creative writing work with you? I'd just like some feedback, that's all.

Speaking of Asperger's, I'm reading a book for English at the moment called 'House Rules', by Jodi Picoult. The main character, Jacob Hunt, has Asperger's. I'm up to page 338 currently, and so I won't spoil it for you, but I recommend giving it a read, it's great so far! And anyone who has read further than that, no big spoilers please!! Have any of you read it? Without spoiling it, leave comments with your opinions, I look forward to seeing them! :)

Well, that's all I really wanted to talk about for the moment.
